About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee complex heavy haul and specialized rigging projects from planning through execution.
This is more than a traditional project management position. The projects involve large-scale equipment, specialized crews, complex logistics, demanding schedules, permitting requirements, and challenging field conditions.
The ideal candidate will be someone who can look at the entire project, anticipate potential challenges, coordinate multiple resources, and keep customers, field teams, equipment, agencies, and other stakeholders moving in the same direction.
This is a hands-on project management role that requires a willingness to visit project sites and be actively involved in field execution.
What You'll Be Responsible For
As a Project Manager, you will:
Develop and execute plans for multiple heavy haul and specialized rigging projects.
Develop detailed project scopes covering route surveys, permits, equipment, support services, site requirements, crews, and other necessary resources.
Coordinate project schedules, mobilization, equipment, resources, and field execution.
Serve as a key point of communication between customers, field leadership, management, contractors, utilities, and governmental or permitting agencies.
Work closely with Foremen to ensure the appropriate equipment, personnel, and resources are available when required.
Visit project sites to monitor progress and ensure work remains aligned with the project scope and requirements.
Maintain accurate and current project documentation.
Communicate changes in project requirements, schedules, resources, and responsibilities clearly to the appropriate stakeholders.
Identify potential issues early and develop solutions before they become project delays.
Provide the oversight and project controls necessary to help ensure projects meet customer expectations and remain safe, efficient, and profitable.

Previous project management experience, preferably in heavy haul, specialized rigging, construction, heavy trucking, or a related industry.
A bachelor's degree is preferred.
Project Management Institute (PMI) certification is a plus.
